New bathroom

We've decided that we would like to redo the bathroom so have been having a look at some recently. Aren't they cheap  if you just want a basic white one. The main problem we are having is finding anyone to come and quote for it. I can't believe all the workmen in SE London are that busy that they can't fit me in and if that is the case then being a kitchen/bathroom fitter/handyman etc seems to be the job to do at the moment as demand for work seems to be out stripping the supply. At this rate we shall be doing it ourselves.

  1. We just had ours done and found the plumber via a good site called "Problemsolved.co.uk". His name was Richard Costello...firm is multiplumb. Number: 07967158239.

Last year we also had work done by another plumber called Peter Greene, who was also excellent.

Both of these guys are good and get booked up months in advance but they were both willing to come out of hours to do quotes. Richard used to be based in Thamesmead so not far for him to travel.

While we are happy with the bathroom, i'm less than pleased with the tiles we bought from Tile Giant in Erith. They were all meant to be one shade and even came out of the same lot but on the wall, variations can be seen. This wasn't picked up by the tiler. So if you do have your bathroom done, get the tiles beforehand and check the shades. Don't rely on the tiler.

Also, if they offer the chance to see work they have done then take that up. I wish I had to check the quality of the work.

    Good luck.
