Shooter's Hill campus restaurant

I seem to remember seeing something about this around Christmas time so have just done a search. There is a restaurant called "city view" on the post 16 campus on Shooter's Hill which is open to the public. Apparantly each lunchtime and also some evenings. What a shame they dont open every week perhaps on a Thur/Fri/Sat evening. How nice would it be to have a local restaurant. I am going to try and find out more. I know from speaking to friends locally and reading other peoples blogs that people want to support more local enterprises and are desperate for a local restaurant. This way it helps the community and locals. Think of it like Plumstead's answer to Jamie's Fifteen!!

Another restaurant?

I walked past the old Lord Derby pub on Friday and it looks as if it is also being made into a pub/restaurant, serving thai/noodles! Gosh they're like buses...Anyway there was lots of banging going on inside and a right old racket, but it looked like they had some "modern" bar stools..I'm talking red pleather and crome! I shall wait and see. Really though, I love thai (especially thai), curries and chinese but there is already a plethora of these restaurants about the place and i would have thought given the current economic climate that something a bit different would get people interested?
I really really dream of a good local Italian, all pasta, house wine, garlic bread and gelato...There must be some Italians in Plumstead??!!
