I see from the What's On guide that the Plumstead Common Environmental Group are having a volunteers day on Saturday 10th July. They are meeting outside the Coop on the common at 11am and will work together to help tidy up the common.I think as a group they do a really good job and it is nice to know that there is a large section of the community who are committed to keeping the area looking nice. It's a shame they can't come and work their magic on my street as some of it is looking really scruffy at the moment. People need to remove the mattresses from their front gardens/pavements, buy a few pot plants, paint and wash their net curtains. I am amazed at how some people choose to live.
